Use Email Newsletters as a Doorway...
Convert your html email newsletters into a doorway web page that you submit to search engines... If you have a text only email newsletter, copy the contents and paste them onto a “web page template” and submit it to search engines…
Make sure you add code to either your html newsletter or the “web page template” that reflects both the text and the probable search strings an Internet surfer would use in a search to find the kind information expressed in your newsletters… In doing so you should use as few links as possible...
The only link really needed is one to your home page; this link is an absolute must because it allows search spiders to exit your doorway… If not, the search engine spider may become confused and exit without indexing your "newsletter" web page or your entire web site…
If done properly this approach will bring additional traffic both to the your newsletter, where you can solicit sign-ups and add to your permission email list, as well as to your web site…
